How to Use EVERBUILD 101 Multi Purpose Linseed Oil Putty
Materials Needed
- EVERBUILD 101 Multi Purpose Linseed Oil Putty
- Putty knife or spatula
- Glass pane (if glazing windows)
- Gloves (optional, for hand protection)
- Clean cloth
Preparation
- Ensure the surface where the putty will be applied is clean, dry, and free from dust or old putty.
- If glazing, make sure the glass pane is cut to the appropriate size.
Application
- Open the container of EVERBUILD 101 Multi Purpose Linseed Oil Putty.
- Take a small amount of putty and knead it with your hands until it becomes soft and pliable.
- Roll the putty into a rope shape that is slightly longer than the length of the area you are filling.
- Press the putty firmly into the gap or area where it is needed using your fingers or a putty knife.
- If glazing, place the glass pane gently onto the bed of putty and press down to ensure a secure fit.
Smoothing and Finishing
- Use a putty knife to smooth out the surface of the putty, removing any excess material and ensuring a neat finish.
- Wipe away any excess putty from the surrounding surfaces with a clean cloth.
- Allow the putty to cure and harden over time according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Clean Up
- Clean your tools with a clean cloth to remove any remaining putty.
- Wash your hands thoroughly if you did not use gloves during application.
Important Tips
- Work in a well-ventilated area to ensure proper curing of the putty.
- Store any unused putty in an airtight container to prevent it from drying out.
