Description
How to Use the Stainless Steel Chip Frying Basket
Materials Needed
- Stainless Steel Chip Frying Basket
- Deep-frying pot or pan
- Cooking oil suitable for frying
- Heat source (stove)
- Tongs or a heat-resistant glove
- Paper towels
- Cooking thermometer (optional)
Preparation
- Ensure the basket is clean and dry before use.
- Fill the frying pot or pan with enough cooking oil to submerge the food you will be frying.
- Place the pot or pan on the stove and heat the oil to the desired temperature (typically 350°F to 375°F or 175°C to 190°C). Use a cooking thermometer to check the temperature if available.
Using the Frying Basket
- Carefully place the food items into the frying basket. Do not overfill; leave enough space for the oil to circulate around the food.
- Using the long handle, gently lower the basket into the hot oil. Be cautious to avoid splashing.
- Monitor the cooking process and stir with the basket if necessary to ensure even frying.
Removing and Draining
- Once the food is cooked to your preference, use tongs or a heat-resistant glove to safely lift the basket from the oil.
- Allow excess oil to drain back into the pot or pan by holding the basket above it for a few moments.
- Transfer the fried food onto a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any remaining oil.
Cleaning and Storage
- Allow the basket to cool completely before cleaning.
- Wash the basket with warm soapy water and a sponge or cloth. Rinse thoroughly.
- Dry the basket completely to prevent rusting.
- Store in a dry place until the next use.
