How to Use SHAW X NO.4 Stainless Steel Picture Wire

Materials Needed

• SHAW X NO.4 Stainless Steel Picture Wire
• Picture frame
• Wire cutters
• Eye hooks or D-rings
• Screwdriver
• Measuring tape
• Level (optional)
• Pencil

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Picture Frame

1. Lay the picture frame face down on a flat surface.
2. Measure approximately one-third down from the top of the frame on each side and mark with a pencil.

Step 2: Attach the Eye Hooks or D-rings

1. Using a screwdriver, screw the eye hooks or attach the D-rings at the marked points on either side of the frame.

Step 3: Cut the Picture Wire

1. Unroll the picture wire and measure a length of wire approximately 1.5 times the width of the frame.
2. Use wire cutters to cut the wire to the desired length.

Step 4: Attach the Wire to the Frame

1. Thread one end of the wire through an eye hook or D-ring.
2. Loop the wire back onto itself and twist to secure it tightly.
3. Repeat the process with the other end of the wire on the opposite side of the frame.
4. Make sure the wire is taut but not too tight, allowing a small amount of slack for secure hanging.

Step 5: Hang the Picture

1. Use a level to ensure the picture is straight.
2. Hang the picture wire onto a suitable wall hook or nail that can support up to 11.3kg / 25lbs.

Tips

• Ensure the wall hook or nail is securely fixed into the wall.
• Double-check the weight of your picture frame to ensure it does not exceed the weight limit of the wire.
