Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Fabric

• Launder the fabric to prevent shrinkage after hemming.
• Iron the fabric to remove any wrinkles.
• Lay the fabric flat on the ironing board.

Step 2: Measure and Mark

• Decide the desired length of the hem.
• Use a measuring tape or ruler to measure the hem allowance.
• Fold the fabric to the desired hem length and secure with pins or clips if needed.

Step 3: Apply the Hemming Tape

• Cut a strip of hemming tape to the required length.
• Insert the hemming tape inside the folded hem.
• Ensure the tape is positioned evenly along the hem.

Step 4: Iron the Hem

• Set the iron to the appropriate temperature for the fabric type.
• Press the iron firmly on the hem area for a few seconds to activate the tape’s adhesive.
• Move the iron along the hem, pressing each section until the entire hem is bonded.

Step 5: Finalize and Check

• Allow the hem to cool for a minute.
• Check that the tape has adhered properly and the hem is secure.
• If necessary, reapply the iron to any areas where the tape has not adhered.
