Materials Needed
- KORBOND Iron On Mender (3.8 x 50cm)
- Iron
- Ironing board or a flat, heat-resistant surface
- Cloth or pressing cloth (optional)
- Scissors
Preparation
- Ensure the fabric you are mending is clean and dry.
- Heat your iron to the temperature appropriate for the fabric you are mending. Do not use steam.
- Cut the KORBOND Iron On Mender to the desired size and shape to cover the damaged area, ensuring it overlaps by at least 1cm on all sides.
Application
- Position the mender over the damaged area, adhesive side down.
- If desired, place a cloth or pressing cloth over the mender to protect the fabric.
- Firmly press the hot iron onto the mender for about 10-15 seconds.
- Lift the iron and allow the mended area to cool for a few seconds.
- Check if the mender is securely adhered. If not, repeat the pressing process.
Finishing
- Allow the mended fabric to cool completely before handling or wearing.
- Inspect the repair to ensure it is secure and even.
Care Instructions
- Follow the washing instructions for the fabric, as overexposure to water and heat might affect the mender’s adhesive.
- Avoid using strong detergents or bleach on the mended area.
