How to Use the 50cm Non Stick Tawa
Before First Use
- Wash the tawa thoroughly with warm soapy water to remove any factory residues.
- Rinse with clean water and dry completely with a soft cloth.
- Apply a thin layer of cooking oil using a clean cloth or paper towel to season the surface.
- Heat the tawa on medium heat for a few minutes before wiping off any excess oil.
Preparing for Cooking
- Place the tawa on your stove and ensure it is stable.
- Preheat the tawa over medium heat to ensure even cooking.
- Add a small amount of oil or butter to the surface for additional non-stick properties.
Cooking with the Tawa
- Place the food item (crepe, dosa, chapatti, roti, etc.) onto the preheated tawa.
- Use a spatula to gently press and spread the batter or dough as needed.
- Allow the food to cook evenly; flip when it starts to brown or bubbles appear.
- Cook the other side until it reaches the desired doneness.
After Cooking
- Remove the food from the tawa using a spatula.
- Turn off the heat and allow the tawa to cool down naturally.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Once cool, wash the tawa with warm soapy water.
- Rinse thoroughly and dry with a clean cloth to prevent rust.
- Store in a dry place; optionally, apply a light coat of oil before storing to maintain the non-stick surface.
