How to Use 40W Bayonet Cap / BC Pearl GIS Lamps

Step 1: Safety Precautions

• Ensure the lamp is switched off before handling.
• Make sure your hands are dry to avoid electric shock.
• Handle the lamp with care to prevent breakage.

Step 2: Remove Existing Lamp

• Turn off the power supply to the lamp fixture.
• Allow the existing lamp to cool down if it was recently in use.
• Gently twist the current bulb in a counter-clockwise direction to remove it.

Step 3: Install the New 40W Bayonet Cap Lamp

• Align the bayonet cap of the new lamp with the slots in the socket.
• Insert the lamp and twist it clockwise until it is securely in place.

Step 4: Test the Installation

• Turn the power supply back on.
• Switch on the lamp to ensure it is functioning correctly.
• If the lamp does not light up, double-check the installation and ensure the bulb is properly secured.

Step 5: Dispose of the Old Lamp
