Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before using CompareTheSuppliers.co.uk (the “Site”) and our services (together, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Site, registering an account, joining the waitlist, or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Site or the Service.
1. Who We Are
CompareTheSuppliers.co.uk (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a platform that connects shoppers in the B31 area (“you”, “your”, “Customer”) with local retailers (“Retailers”). We provide an online marketplace and an eco‑friendly delivery service using eCargo bikes.
We do not manufacture or own the products sold through the Site; all products are supplied by independent Retailers.
2. Our Service
2.1 Marketplace Platform
We provide a digital platform that allows you to:
- Browse products from multiple local B31 retailers.
- Add products from more than one Retailer to a single basket.
- Place and pay for orders online
- Arrange delivery to eligible B31 postcodes.
2.2 Delivery Service
We coordinate the delivery of your order using our eco‑friendly eCargo bike network. Delivery dates and time slots are subject to availability and may be limited to specific days (currently Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, or as otherwise shown at checkout).
2.3 Relationship with Retailers
When you place an order, you are purchasing goods directly from the relevant Retailer(s). We act as:
- The platform provider, and
- The delivery and logistics provider.
We are not responsible for:
- The manufacturing or origin of products
- Any product descriptions provided by Retailers
- Product quality issues beyond our reasonable control
Your statutory rights against the supplying Retailer are not affected.
3. Eligibility and Account Registration
3.1 Eligibility
To use the Service, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract
- Live at, or be able to receive deliveries at, an eligible B31 address.
3.2 Account Creation
You may need to register for an account to place orders or access certain features. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
- Keep your login details secure and confidential.
- Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Ordering and Contract Formation
4.1 Placing an Order
You may place an order via the Site by:
- Entering your B31 postcode
- Selecting products and adding them to your basket
- Meeting any basket minimum (e.g. £15 minimum order value, as displayed on the Site)
- Choosing an available delivery slot
- Entering any delivery notes and confirming payment details
4.2 Order Acceptance
Your order is an offer to purchase products from the Retailer(s). An order is only accepted when:
- You receive a confirmation email or on‑screen confirmation from us, and
- The relevant Retailer(s) accept the order for picking and packing.
We reserve the right, acting reasonably, to decline or cancel orders, for example, where:
- Products are out of stock.
- There is an obvious pricing or description error.
- Delivery to your address is not possible.
- We suspect fraud or misuse of the Service.
4.3 Substitutions and Availability
Retailers may be unable to fulfil certain items due to stock availability. Where permitted by you at checkout, suitable substitutes may be offered. You will be informed of any substitutions in your order confirmation or delivery note.
5. Pricing, Service Fees and Payment
5.1 Product Prices
Product prices are displayed on the Site and are set by the Retailers. We work to ensure honest, transparent pricing and aim to avoid hidden markups compared with in‑store pricing, but prices may differ due to promotions, online‑only pricing, or Retailer decisions.
5.2 Service and Delivery Fees
We may charge service and/or delivery fees for the use of the platform and eco‑friendly delivery service. Any such fees will be clearly displayed at checkout before you confirm your order.
5.3 Payment Methods
We accept payment methods as displayed at checkout. By submitting payment details, you confirm that you are authorised to use the chosen payment method and that all information provided is accurate and complete.
5.4 Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL)
We may offer Buy Now, Pay Later* options through third‑party payment providers. By selecting a BNPL option, you acknowledge that:
- The BNPL service is provided by a third‑party provider, not by CompareTheSuppliers.co.uk.
- Your use of BNPL is subject to the provider’s own terms, conditions and eligibility checks.
- Late or missed payments may impact your credit score and/or result in additional fees charged by the BNPL provider.
You are responsible for reading and accepting the BNPL provider’s terms before completing your purchase. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the provider’s decisions, charges, or treatment of your data.
6. Delivery
6.1 Delivery Area and Slots
Deliveries are currently limited to eligible B31 postcodes, as shown on the Site. Delivery slots (e.g. Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) are offered subject to availability.
6.2 Delivery Instructions
You may provide delivery notes to help our riders deliver your order. You are responsible for ensuring:
- The delivery address and contact details are accurate.
- Someone is available to receive the order during the selected time slot, or
- Clear and lawful instructions are given for safe‑place delivery.
6.3 Failed Delivery
If we are unable to complete delivery because:
- No one is available, and no reasonable safe place is specified, or
- We cannot access the delivery address, or
- You provide incomplete or incorrect details.
We may return the order and contact you to rearrange delivery, which may incur additional charges. Perishable goods may not be refundable if a failed delivery is due to your actions or omissions.
6.4 Risk and Title
Risk in the products passes to you upon delivery. Title (ownership) passes when payment has been received in full by the relevant Retailer(s).
7. Cancellations, Refunds and Returns
7.1 Your Right to Cancel
You may have a legal right to cancel certain orders under consumer protection laws. However, this right does not generally apply to:
- Perishable goods (such as fresh food, chilled or frozen items)
- Items which are unsealed and cannot be returned for health or hygiene reasons
Where a cancellation is possible, you must follow the instructions provided on the Site or in your order confirmation.
7.2 Order Issues and Refunds
If:
- Items are missing or damaged, or
- The wrong items have been delivered, or
- There is another issue with your order.
Please contact us promptly with details and, where possible, supporting evidence. We will work with you and the relevant Retailer(s) to investigate and, where appropriate, offer:
- A replacement
- A partial refund
- A full refund
Any refund will usually be made to your original payment method.
7.3 Quality Concerns
Quality concerns regarding specific products should be reported as soon as reasonably possible after delivery. We may request photos or additional information to assess the issue with the Retailer.
8. Retailer Terms and Product Information
8.1 Retailer Policies
Retailers may have their own specific policies regarding products (for example, age restrictions, special return rules, or allergen information). Where applicable, these will apply in addition to these Terms.
8.2 Product Descriptions and Allergens

Subject to the above, we shall not be liable for:
