How to Use the WHAM 8 Inch / 20cm x 9cm Black Loose Based Steel Cake Tin

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to the required temperature as per your recipe.
  • Lightly grease the cake tin with butter or oil to prevent sticking.
  • Consider lining the base with parchment paper for easier removal of the cake.

Filling the Cake Tin

  • Pour your prepared cake batter into the tin, ensuring it is evenly distributed.
  • Tap the tin gently on the countertop to remove any air bubbles.

Baking

  • Place the cake tin in the center of the preheated oven.
  • Bake for the time specified in your recipe, checking occasionally for doneness.
  • Use a toothpick or skewer inserted into the center to check if the cake is fully baked. It should come out clean.

Cooling and Removing the Cake

  • Once baked, remove the cake tin from the oven using oven mitts.

  • Run a knife around the edge of the cake to loosen it from the sides of the tin.
