Basic Instructions for Use

Using the Compass

1. Insert the pencil into the holder on the compass.
2. Adjust the compass to the desired width by sliding the pencil holder.
3. Place the pointed end on the paper where you want the center of the circle to be.
4. Rotate the compass to draw a circle.

Using the Protractor

1. Place the straight edge of the protractor on the line or baseline you are measuring.
2. Align the center of the protractor with the vertex of the angle.
3. Read the degree measurement where the other side of the angle intersects the number scale.

Using the Ruler

1. Place the ruler on the paper where you want to draw or measure a straight line.
