How to Use the STATUS FLEX CONNECTOR WITH 3 TERMINAL 13 AMP

This guide is designed for beginners who want to safely and effectively use the STATUS Flex Connector. Please ensure you meet any age requirements before proceeding.

Step 1: Gather Necessary Tools and Equipment

• STATUS Flex Connector with 3 Terminal 13 Amp
• Screwdriver
• Wire cutter/stripper
• Electrician’s tape
• Safety gloves

Step 2: Ensure Safety

• Wear safety gloves to protect your hands.
• Ensure the power supply is switched off before starting any electrical work.
• Read the manufacturer’s safety instructions thoroughly.

Step 3: Prepare the Cables

• Use the wire cutter/stripper to carefully strip about 10mm of insulation from the ends of the wires you wish to connect.
• Twist the exposed copper wires to prevent fraying.

Step 4: Connect the Wires

• Open the STATUS Flex Connector casing using a screwdriver.
• Identify the three terminals: Live, Neutral, and Earth.
• Insert the Live wire into the terminal marked ‘L’. Tighten the screw to secure the wire.
• Insert the Neutral wire into the terminal marked ‘N’. Tighten the screw to secure the wire.
• Insert the Earth wire into the terminal marked ‘E’ or the Earth symbol. Tighten the screw to secure the wire.

Step 5: Finalize the Connection

• Double-check all connections to ensure they are secure and that there are no exposed wires.
• Close the connector casing and secure it with screws.
• Wrap any exposed joints with electrician’s tape for added insulation.

Step 6: Test the Connection

• Switch the power supply back on.
