How to Use Korbond Sewing Machine Needles

1. Prepare Your Sewing Machine

• Turn off the sewing machine and unplug it from the power source for safety.
• Raise the needle to its highest position using the handwheel.
• Remove the presser foot and presser foot holder if necessary.

2. Remove the Old Needle

• Loosen the needle clamp screw using a screwdriver or your fingers.
• Carefully pull out the old needle and dispose of it safely.

3. Insert the New Needle

• Take a new Korbond sewing machine needle from the pack.
• Hold the needle with the flat side facing the back of the machine.
• Insert the needle into the needle bar until it cannot go any further.
• Tighten the needle clamp screw securely to hold the needle in place.

4. Test the Needle

• Reattach the presser foot and presser foot holder if they were removed.
• Plug in the sewing machine and turn it on.
• Run a test stitch on a scrap piece of fabric to ensure the needle is correctly installed and functioning well.

5. Start Sewing

• Once you are satisfied with the test stitch, you can start sewing your project.
• Ensure the fabric and thread used are suitable for the needle size to avoid breakage.

• Always refer to your sewing machine’s manual for specific instructions related to needle changes.
• Regularly change needles after every 8-10 hours of sewing to maintain stitch quality.
