How to Use the Self-Adhesive EPDM Rubber P Strip Draught Excluder

Materials Needed

• Self-Adhesive EPDM Rubber P Strip Draught Excluder
• Scissors or a utility knife
• Cleaning cloth
• Measuring tape

Steps to Apply

1. Measure the Area

• Use a measuring tape to determine the length of the area where you intend to apply the draught excluder.
• Make sure to measure all sides of windows or doors if sealing multiple sides.

2. Cut the Strip

• Unroll the draught excluder tape.
• Use scissors or a utility knife to cut the strip to the measured length.

3. Prepare the Surface

• Clean the surface where you will apply the strip using a cleaning cloth to remove dust and dirt.
• Ensure the surface is completely dry before proceeding.

4. Apply the Draught Excluder

• Peel off the backing paper from the adhesive side of the strip.
• Align the strip carefully against the edge of the door or window frame.
• Press firmly along the entire length of the strip to ensure it adheres properly.

5. Check the Seal

• Once applied, open and close the door or window to ensure the strip does not obstruct movement.
• Check for any gaps or areas where the strip may not be fully adhered and press down again if necessary.

Tips

• For best results, apply the draught excluder on a warm day or ensure the area is at room temperature to enhance adhesive strength.
• If the strip does not adhere well, consider using additional adhesive suitable for rubber materials.
