How to Use the Plastic Vegetable Mandoline Grater Slicer Set

Unpacking and Assembling

• Carefully remove the mandoline slicer set from the packaging.
• Identify all components: the mandoline base, the 5 assorted slicing planes, and the peeler.
• Choose the slicing plane you wish to use and securely attach it to the mandoline base.

Preparation

• Wash the vegetables you plan to slice thoroughly.
• Ensure your work surface is clean and dry.
• If necessary, trim vegetables to fit the width of the slicer (32 cm maximum).

Using the Slicer

• Place the mandoline slicer on a stable surface to prevent slipping.
• Hold the mandoline with one hand securely.
• With your other hand, use the peeler if necessary to remove any vegetable skin.
• Using the hand guard or a protective glove, hold the vegetable firmly.
• Slide the vegetable back and forth across the slicing plane, applying even pressure for consistent slices.
• Continue slicing until the vegetable is fully sliced or reaches a size where it’s no longer safe to slice.

Changing Slicing Planes

• Carefully remove the current slicing plane from the mandoline base.
• Select a different slicing plane as per your slicing needs.
• Attach the new slicing plane securely onto the mandoline base.

Cleaning and Storage

• Disassemble all components after use.
• Wash each part with warm soapy water and a sponge. Rinse thoroughly.
• Allow all parts to dry completely before storing.
• Store the mandoline slicer set in a safe place to avoid damage or injury.

• Always use the hand guard or protective gloves to protect your hands from the sharp blades.
• Keep the slicer out of reach of children when not in use.
