How to Use the PRODEC Contractor Long Pile Polyester Paint Roller Sleeve

Materials You Will Need

• PRODEC Contractor Long Pile Polyester Paint Roller Sleeve 9 x 1.5
• Paint roller frame
• Paint tray
• Paint (suitable for the surface you’re painting)
• Protective sheets or drop cloths
• Painter’s tape
• Stir stick for paint
• Optional: Extension pole for hard-to-reach areas

Preparing Your Workspace

1. Lay down protective sheets or drop cloths to cover floors and furniture.
2. Use painter’s tape to protect trim, edges, and any areas you do not want to paint.
3. Ensure the surface to be painted is clean, dry, and free of dust or grease.

Assembling the Roller

1. Attach the PRODEC paint roller sleeve onto the paint roller frame securely.
2. If needed, attach an extension pole to the roller frame for added reach.

Loading the Roller with Paint

1. Pour your paint into a paint tray, filling the well about halfway.
2. Dip the roller into the paint and roll it back and forth over the tray’s ridged section to evenly distribute the paint across the roller.
3. Avoid overloading the roller to prevent drips and uneven application.

Applying the Paint

1. Start painting at one corner of the wall and work your way across, using a ‘W’ or ‘M’ motion for even coverage.
2. Overlap each stroke slightly to avoid visible lines and ensure even coverage.
3. Reapply paint to the roller as needed, following the loading process described above.

Finishing Up

1. Once painting is complete, carefully remove the painter’s tape while the paint is still slightly wet to ensure clean edges.
2. Wash the roller sleeve and frame with water (if using water-based paint) or the appropriate solvent (if using oil-based paint) immediately after use.
3. Allow the roller sleeve to dry completely before storing.
