How to Use the PRODEC Contractor Heavy Duty Woven Paint Roller Sleeve

Materials Needed

  • PRODEC Contractor Heavy Duty Woven Paint Roller Sleeve 9 x 1.75
  • Paint Roller Frame
  • Paint Tray
  • Paint
  • Drop Cloth or Protective Sheet
  • Painter’s Tape

Preparation

  1. Lay down a drop cloth or protective sheet to cover the floor and protect it from paint splatters.
  2. Use painter’s tape to mask off areas you do not want to paint, such as trim or baseboards.
  3. Ensure the surface to be painted is clean and dry.

Assembling the Roller

  1. Attach the PRODEC paint roller sleeve to a compatible paint roller frame by sliding it onto the frame’s roller arm.
  2. Ensure the sleeve is securely fitted onto the frame to avoid slippage during painting.

Loading the Roller with Paint

  1. Pour the paint into a paint tray until it reaches the ribbed area.
  2. Dip the roller sleeve into the paint, ensuring it is evenly coated.
  3. Roll the sleeve back and forth on the ribbed section of the paint tray to remove excess paint and evenly distribute it on the sleeve.

Painting the Surface

  1. Begin rolling the paint onto the surface in a ‘W’ or ‘M’ pattern to distribute the paint evenly.
  2. Fill in the gaps by rolling the sleeve in vertical or horizontal strokes, ensuring even coverage.
  3. Reload the roller with paint as needed and continue until the surface is completely covered.
  4. Allow the paint to dry according to the paint manufacturer’s instructions before applying additional coats if necessary.

Cleaning Up

  1. Remove the roller sleeve from the frame and wash it with warm, soapy water to remove any remaining paint.
  2. Rinse thoroughly and allow the sleeve to dry before storing.
  3. Clean the roller frame and paint tray with water and soap, and store them properly for future use.
