How to Use Paint Factory Chalk It Furniture Spray Paint 400ml – White Premier

Materials Needed

  • Paint Factory Chalk It Furniture Spray Paint 400ml – White Premier
  • Protective gloves
  • Mask
  • Drop cloth or newspaper
  • Sandpaper (optional)

Preparation

  1. Ensure the area is well-ventilated by opening windows or working outdoors.
  2. Lay down a drop cloth or newspaper to protect the surrounding area from overspray.
  3. Wear protective gloves and a mask to prevent inhalation of fumes and contact with skin.
  4. If the furniture surface is glossy or previously painted, lightly sand it to ensure better adhesion of the spray paint.

Application

  1. Shake the spray paint can vigorously for about 2 minutes to ensure an even mix.
  2. Test spray on a small, inconspicuous area to check for color and adherence.
  3. Hold the can approximately 20-30 cm (8-12 inches) from the surface.
  4. Spray in a steady, back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke for even coverage.
  5. Apply multiple thin coats rather than one thick coat to avoid drips and runs. Allow sufficient drying time between coats as per the manufacturer’s instructions.

Drying and Finishing

  1. Allow the paint to dry completely as per the instructions on the label before handling or using the furniture.
  2. If desired, apply a clear sealant for added protection and durability.

Clean Up

  1. Clean the spray nozzle by turning the can upside down and spraying until only gas comes out to prevent clogging.
  2. Dispose of used materials and any leftover paint responsibly, following local regulations.
