Materials You Will Need

  • Drop cloth or newspaper
  • Fine-grit sandpaper
  • Clean cloth

Preparation

  1. Choose a well-ventilated area or work outside to ensure proper ventilation.
  2. Lay down a drop cloth or newspaper to protect the surrounding area from overspray.
  3. Put on protective gloves and a face mask to protect yourself from fumes and paint.
  4. Clean the surface of the furniture with a damp cloth to remove dust and dirt. Let it dry completely.
  5. If the furniture has a glossy finish, lightly sand the surface with fine-grit sandpaper to help the paint adhere better.

Application

  1. Shake the spray paint can vigorously for about 1-2 minutes to ensure even distribution of the paint.

Finishing Up
