How to Use BRITA Classic Filter Cartridges

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Unpack the Cartridge
   • Remove the cartridge from its packaging.
   • Ensure that the cartridge is not damaged.
2. Preparation
   • Fill a bowl with cold water.
   • Immerse the cartridge fully in the water.
   • Allow it to soak for approximately 15 minutes.
3. Rinse the Cartridge
   • After soaking, rinse the cartridge under cold running water for a few seconds.
4. Insert the Cartridge
   • Open the lid of your BRITA water filter jug or device.
   • Insert the cartridge into the funnel of the jug.
   • Ensure it is securely fitted to avoid water bypassing the filter.
5. Filter Water
   • Close the lid and fill the jug with cold water.
   • Wait for the water to pass through the filter into the main chamber.
   • The water is now filtered and ready to be used.

Maintaining Your Filter

• Replace the filter cartridge every 4 weeks for optimal performance.
• Keep the jug clean by washing it regularly with warm soapy water.
• Always use cold water to fill the jug.
