How to Use Korbond Knee & Elbow Patches
Materials Needed
- Korbond Knee & Elbow Patches
- Iron
- Ironing board or a flat, heat-resistant surface
- Clean cloth or pressing cloth
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Fabric
- Lay the garment on a flat surface with the damaged area facing up.
- Ensure the area where you will apply the patch is clean and dry.
Step 2: Position the Patch
- Remove the patch from the packaging.
- Place the patch over the damaged area, ensuring it covers the entire hole or tear.
- Adjust the patch so it is aligned properly with the fabric grain.
Step 3: Iron the Patch
- Preheat your iron to the cotton setting or a temperature appropriate for the garment.
- Place a clean cloth or pressing cloth over the patch to protect it.
- Press the iron firmly over the patch with steady pressure for 15-20 seconds.
- Lift the iron and allow the patch to cool for a moment.
- Check if the patch is securely attached; if not, repeat the ironing process.
Step 4: Final Check
- Ensure the patch is firmly adhered to the garment with no loose edges.
- If necessary, iron again with the pressing cloth to reinforce the attachment.
Tips
- Test the iron’s heat on a small, inconspicuous area of the fabric before applying the patch.
- For extra reinforcement, sew around the edges of the patch after ironing.
