Materials Needed

• Korbond Extra Wide Hemming Web (60mm x 8m)
• Iron
• Ironing board
• Scissors
• Fabric to be hemmed

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Your Fabric

1. Lay your fabric on a flat surface.
2. Ensure the edges to be hemmed are clean and straight.

Step 2: Cut the Hemming Web

1. Measure the length of the edge you wish to hem.
2. Cut the Korbond Hemming Web to the same length using scissors.

Step 3: Position the Hemming Web

1. Fold the fabric edge to the desired hem depth.
2. Place the Hemming Web between the folded fabric layers.

Step 4: Iron the Hem

1. Preheat the iron to the appropriate temperature for your fabric type (usually a medium setting).
2. Place the fabric with the Hemming Web on the ironing board.
3. Press the iron over the hem area for a few seconds to activate the adhesive.
4. Move the iron along the hem, applying even pressure, to ensure the entire length is bonded.

Step 5: Finalize the Hem

1. Allow the fabric to cool completely.
2. Check to ensure the hem is securely bonded.
3. If necessary, reapply the iron to any areas that need additional bonding.

Tips for Best Results

• Use a pressing cloth if you’re concerned about direct heat on delicate fabrics.
• Test on a small fabric scrap to ensure compatibility.
• Ensure the iron does not have any water or steam when using the Hemming Web.
