How to Use the Kilner Butter Churner / Maker 500ml
Step 1: Gather Ingredients
- 500ml of heavy cream
- Optional: Salt (for salted butter)

- Place the churner on a stable surface.
Step 3: Pour the Cream
- Open the lid of the butter churner.
- Carefully pour 500ml of heavy cream into the churner.
Step 4: Churn the Cream
- Secure the lid tightly on the churner.
- Turn the handle clockwise in a steady, continuous motion.
- Continue churning until the cream thickens and separates into butter and buttermilk. This may take about 10-15 minutes.
Step 5: Collect the Butter
- Once the butter has formed, open the lid.
- Use a wooden spoon or spatula to scoop the butter from the churner.
- Place the butter into a bowl.
Step 6: Rinse and Season the Butter
- Rinse the butter under cold water to remove excess buttermilk.
- If desired, knead in salt to taste.
Step 7: Store the Butter
- Transfer the butter to a butter dish or airtight container.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
