How to Use the Treat & Ease Highly Accurate Digital Medical Thermometer

Step 1: Prepare the Thermometer

• Remove the thermometer from its protective case.
• Ensure the thermometer is clean and dry before use.
• If necessary, disinfect the tip with rubbing alcohol and let it dry.

Step 2: Power On the Thermometer

• Press the power button to turn on the thermometer.
• Wait for the digital display to show that it is ready for use, usually indicated by a beep or a specific symbol.

Step 3: Measure the Temperature

• Oral Use:
  • Place the thermometer under the tongue.
  • Close the mouth and breathe through the nose.
  • Wait until the thermometer beeps to indicate that the reading is complete.
• Axillary (Underarm) Use:
  • Place the thermometer under the armpit, ensuring it is in direct contact with the skin.
  • Hold the arm down to secure the thermometer in place.
  • Wait until the thermometer beeps to indicate that the reading is complete.
• Rectal Use:
  • Lubricate the tip of the thermometer with a water-based lubricant.
  • Gently insert the tip into the rectum (approx. 1/2 inch for infants, 1 inch for adults).
  • Hold the thermometer in place until it beeps to indicate that the reading is complete.

Step 4: Read the Temperature

• Once the thermometer beeps, remove it from the measurement site.
• Read the temperature displayed on the bright, clear LCD screen.

Step 5: Clean and Store the Thermometer
