- Refrigerator or freezer
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Prepare the Chocolate
- Break your chocolate into smaller pieces for easier melting.
- Place the chocolate pieces in a microwave-safe bowl or a double boiler.
- If using a microwave, heat the chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until fully melted.
- If using a double boiler, stir the chocolate frequently until smooth and fully melted.
2. Fill the Mould
- Once the chocolate is melted, carefully pour it into the heart-shaped mould.
- Use a spoon or spatula to spread the chocolate evenly and remove any air bubbles.
- Gently tap the mould on the counter to level the chocolate and release trapped air.
3. Chill the Mould
- Place the filled mould in the refrigerator or freezer.
- Let it chill until the chocolate is completely set and hard. This may take 20-30 minutes in the refrigerator or 10-15 minutes in the freezer.
4. Remove the Chocolate
- Once set, remove the mould from the refrigerator or freezer.
- Gently flex the mould to release the chocolate shapes.
- If the chocolate is difficult to remove, tap the mould lightly on a hard surface.
5. Decorate and Enjoy
- Use the heart-shaped chocolates to decorate cakes, cupcakes, or enjoy as standalone treats.
- Store any unused chocolate shapes in a cool, dry place.
