How to Use the HAWKINS CL3T Classic Pressure Cooker 3L

Step 1: Initial Setup

• Unpack the pressure cooker and ensure all components are included.
• Wash the cooker body, lid, and gasket with warm soapy water before first use.
• Make sure the safety valve and pressure regulator are properly attached.

Step 2: Preparing to Cook

• Place the ingredients and appropriate amount of water or liquid inside the cooker.
• Do not fill the cooker more than two-thirds full to allow steam to circulate.
• Ensure the gasket is properly seated inside the lid.

Step 3: Closing the Lid

• Align the lid with the body handles and close the lid securely.
• Turn the lid until it locks in place.
• Place the pressure regulator on the vent pipe.

Step 4: Cooking

• Place the pressure cooker on the stove over medium heat.
• Wait for the pressure regulator to begin rocking gently, indicating full pressure.
• Start timing your cooking from this point as per your recipe.

Step 5: Releasing Pressure

• Once cooking is complete, remove the cooker from heat.
• Allow the pressure to drop naturally or use the quick-release method if your recipe requires it.
• Ensure the pressure is fully released before attempting to open the lid.

Step 6: Opening the Lid

• Once pressure is fully released, turn the lid and open carefully.
• Be cautious of hot steam escaping when opening the lid.
