How to Use the Harris Essentials Walls & Ceilings Paint Brush 0.5 Inch / 12mm

Materials Needed

• Harris Essentials Walls & Ceilings Paint Brush 0.5 Inch / 12mm
• Paint of your choice
• Paint tray
• Masking tape (optional)
• Drop cloth or plastic sheet (optional)
• Clean water or paint thinner (for cleaning)
• Cloth or paper towels (for cleaning)

Preparation

• Ensure the surface to be painted is clean and dry.
• Lay down a drop cloth or plastic sheet to protect the floor.
• Use masking tape to protect any areas you do not want to get paint on, such as trim or edges.

Loading the Brush

• Pour a small amount of paint into a paint tray.
• Dip the Harris Essentials brush into the paint, loading only the bottom third of the bristles.
• Gently tap the brush against the side of the tray to remove excess paint.

Applying Paint

• Start by cutting in around the edges of the wall or ceiling using the tip of the brush for precision.
• Use smooth, even strokes to apply paint, working from one corner to the other.
• Maintain a wet edge by slightly overlapping strokes to avoid lap marks.

Cleaning the Brush

• Rinse the brush thoroughly with clean water or appropriate solvent (e.g., paint thinner for oil-based paints).
• Use a cloth or paper towels to remove any remaining paint from the bristles.
• Reshape the bristles and hang the brush to dry.

Storage

• Once dry, store the brush in a dry place, ideally in its original packaging or suspended to maintain bristle shape.
