How to Use the GRUNWERG CAFE OLE MODE CAFETIERE 8 CUP 1000ML

Step 1: Prepare Your Ingredients

• Measure out your coffee beans. A standard ratio is 1 to 2 tablespoons of coffee per cup of water. For a full 8-cup cafetiere, use approximately 8 tablespoons of coffee.
• Grind the coffee beans to a coarse consistency.
• Boil water and let it cool slightly (around 92-96°C or 198-205°F) for optimal brewing.

Step 2: Assemble the Cafetiere

• Remove the lid and plunger from the cafetiere.
• Add the ground coffee to the bottom of the cafetiere.

Step 3: Brewing the Coffee

• Pour the hot water over the coffee grounds, ensuring they are fully saturated.
• Stir the mixture gently with a spoon to ensure even extraction.
• Place the lid back on the cafetiere with the plunger pulled all the way up.
• Allow the coffee to steep for about 4 minutes for optimal strength.

Step 4: Plunging

• After the steeping period, slowly press the plunger down evenly to separate the coffee grounds from the liquid.
• Ensure the plunger is fully depressed to trap the grounds at the bottom.

Step 5: Serving

• Pour the brewed coffee into your cups and enjoy.
• If not serving immediately, transfer the coffee to a thermal carafe to prevent it from becoming bitter.

Cleaning the Cafetiere

• Disassemble the lid and plunger after use.
• Discard the used coffee grounds and rinse the cafetiere with warm water.
• Wash all parts with mild detergent and rinse thoroughly.
• Dry the cafetiere before storing it to prevent any water spots or odor.
