How to Use the FUTURA FP60 Pressure Cooker 6L
Getting Started
- Ensure you have all the parts of the pressure cooker: the base, lid, gasket, and pressure regulator.
- Read the safety instructions provided by the manufacturer.
Preparation
- Wash all the parts of the pressure cooker with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
- Check the rubber gasket for any damage and ensure it is properly fitted into the lid.
- Make sure the pressure regulator is clean and moves freely.
Filling the Cooker
- Place the ingredients and the required amount of liquid into the cooker. Do not fill beyond the maximum fill line.
- Ensure at least 1 cup of liquid is used to create steam inside the cooker.
Sealing the Cooker
- Place the lid on the cooker and align it properly with the body.
- Lock the lid in place by turning it according to the instructions.
Cooking
- Place the pressure cooker on the stove over high heat.
- Wait for the pressure to build up; the pressure regulator will start to rock gently.
- Once pressure is reached, reduce the heat to maintain a gentle rocking motion.
- Set a timer for the recommended cooking time for your recipe.
Releasing Pressure
- Turn off the heat once cooking is complete.
- Allow the pressure to release naturally or use the quick-release method as per your recipe requirements.
- Ensure the pressure has fully released before attempting to open the lid.
Opening the Cooker
- Once pressure is released, carefully unlock and remove the lid.
- Open the lid away from your face to avoid steam burns.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Wash the cooker parts in warm soapy water after each use.
- Check and clean the pressure regulator and gasket regularly.
- Store the cooker with the lid upside down on the body.
