Materials Needed

Preparation

1. Ensure you have all the necessary materials listed above.
2. Wear safety goggles, a dust mask, and protective gloves to protect yourself during drilling.
3. Use a measuring tape to determine where you want to drill the hole.
4. Mark the spot with a pencil for accuracy.

Installing the Drill Bit

1. Make sure the drill is unplugged or turned off before installing the drill bit.
2. Open the chuck of the drill by rotating it counterclockwise.
3. Insert the shank (smooth end) of the masonry drill bit into the chuck.
4. Tighten the chuck by rotating it clockwise until the bit is secure.

Drilling the Hole
