How to Use DEMSUN S22 Multi-Purpose Brown Silicone Sealant

Materials Needed

• DEMSUN S22 Silicone Sealant 280ml
• Caulking gun
• Utility knife or scissors
• Masking tape (optional)
• Cleaning cloth or rag
• Soap and water or a suitable surface cleaner

Preparation

1. Ensure the area to be sealed is clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, or old sealant.
2. If necessary, use soap and water or a suitable cleaner to prepare the surface. Allow it to dry completely.
3. For a neat finish, apply masking tape to either side of the area where the sealant will be applied.

Application

1. Insert the silicone sealant cartridge into the caulking gun.
2. Use a utility knife or scissors to cut the tip of the cartridge nozzle at a 45-degree angle to the desired bead size.
3. Break the inner seal of the cartridge if necessary.
4. Slowly and evenly apply the sealant by pressing the trigger of the caulking gun, guiding the nozzle along the joint or seam.
5. Maintain steady pressure to ensure a consistent bead of sealant.

Smoothing and Finishing

1. After application, use a dampened finger or a finishing tool to smooth the sealant, ensuring it fills the gap completely.
2. Remove the masking tape before the sealant starts to set for a clean edge.

Curing

• Allow the sealant to cure completely according to the manufacturer’s instructions (usually 24 hours) before exposing it to water or other conditions.

Cleaning Up

• Clean any excess sealant with a cloth before it cures.
• Dispose of used materials in accordance with local regulations.
