How to Use the DEKTON HARDCASE BLADE LOCK TAPE MEASURE 19MM X 3M
Step 1: Understand the Parts
- Case: The protective outer shell that houses the tape measure.
- Tape: The flexible metal strip marked with measurements in millimeters and meters.
- Blade Lock: A locking mechanism that holds the tape in place once extended.
Step 2: Extending the Tape
- Hold the tape measure in one hand, ensuring a firm grip on the case.
- With your other hand, pull the metal tape out from the case to your desired length.
Step 3: Locking the Tape
- Once you have extended the tape to the desired length, engage the blade lock by sliding or pressing the lock mechanism (depending on the design).
- This will hold the tape steady, allowing you to take measurements without the tape retracting.
Step 4: Taking Measurements
- Align the start of the tape with the edge of the object you wish to measure.
- Read the measurement where the tape meets the end of the object.
Step 5: Retracting the Tape
- Release the blade lock by sliding or pressing the lock mechanism in the opposite direction.
- Allow the tape to retract slowly back into the case to prevent damage.
Tips for Use
- Always keep the tape clean and dry to ensure accurate measurements.
- Avoid bending the tape sharply to prevent kinks or damage.
- Store the tape measure in a safe place to protect it from falls or heavy impacts.
