How to Use DEKTON Hook and Loop Sanding Disc 60 Grit 6 Inch / 150mm
Materials Needed
- DEKTON Hook and Loop Sanding Disc 60 Grit
 - Compatible sander with a 6-inch / 150mm hook and loop backing pad
 - Protective gear (gloves, dust mask, goggles)
 - Workpiece to be sanded
 
Safety Precautions
- Wear protective gear to keep yourself safe from dust and debris.
 - Ensure the sander is turned off and unplugged before attaching the sanding disc.
 
Attaching the Sanding Disc
- Ensure the sander’s backing pad is clean and free from any dust or debris.
 - Align the sanding disc with the sander’s backing pad.
 - Press firmly to ensure the hook and loop system securely attaches the disc to the pad.
 - Check that the disc is centered and lies flat on the backing pad.
 
Sanding Process
- Plug in and turn on the sander, adjusting the speed setting if applicable.
 - Begin sanding the workpiece with light, even pressure.
 - Move the sander in a consistent pattern to ensure an even finish.
 - Periodically check the sanding disc for wear and replace if necessary.
 
Post-Sanding Cleanup
- Turn off and unplug the sander.
 - Remove the used sanding disc and dispose of it properly.
 - Clean the sander’s backing pad to ensure it remains free of debris for future use.
 
Storage
- Store remaining sanding discs in a cool, dry place.
