How to Use the DEKTON Ultra Thin Metal Cutting Disc 230mm

1. Safety Precautions

• Ensure you are over 18 years of age.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, safety goggles, and a dust mask.
• Inspect the cutting disc for any damage before use.
• Ensure the cutting disc is compatible with your angle grinder.

2. Preparation

• Secure the metal workpiece you intend to cut on a stable surface.
• Ensure the work area is clear of any obstructions and flammable materials.
• Check that the angle grinder is unplugged before mounting the disc.

3. Mounting the Cutting Disc

• Place the DEKTON Ultra Thin Metal Cutting Disc onto the angle grinder’s spindle.
• Tighten the spindle nut securely using the appropriate wrench.
• Ensure the disc is mounted correctly and spins freely without wobbling.

4. Cutting Process

• Plug in the angle grinder and hold it firmly with both hands.
• Position the cutting disc at the edge of the metal workpiece.
• Start the angle grinder and allow it to reach full speed before beginning to cut.
• Use a steady and controlled motion to guide the disc through the metal.
• Do not apply excessive pressure; let the disc do the cutting.

5. Post-Cutting Steps

• Turn off the angle grinder and allow the disc to come to a complete stop.
• Unplug the angle grinder before removing the disc.
• Inspect the cut and file down any sharp edges if necessary.
• Store the cutting disc in a dry and safe place for future use.
