How to Use the BRITA Marella Water Filter Jug

Step 1: Unboxing and Initial Setup

• Carefully remove the BRITA Marella Water Filter Jug from its packaging.
• Check that all components are present, including the jug, lid, and filter cartridge.

Step 2: Preparing the Filter Cartridge

• Take out the filter cartridge from its wrapping.
• Immerse the cartridge in cold water for approximately 15 minutes to activate it.
• Shake the cartridge gently underwater to remove any air bubbles.

Step 3: Inserting the Filter Cartridge

• Remove the lid from the jug.
• Insert the soaked filter cartridge into the funnel of the jug with a firm push.
• Ensure the cartridge is securely in place.

Step 4: Filling the Jug

• Place the lid back onto the jug.
• Open the flip-top lid on the jug for easy filling.
• Fill the jug with cold tap water.
• Allow the water to pass through the filter into the main jug compartment.

Step 5: Discarding the First Two Fillings

• Pour out the first two fillings of filtered water. This helps to remove any loose carbon particles.

Step 6: Regular Use
