  • Face mask

  • Sandpaper
  • Primer (optional)
  • Clean cloth

Preparation

  • Ensure you are in a well-ventilated area.
  • Lay down a drop cloth or newspaper to protect the surrounding area.
  • Wear protective gloves, face mask, and eyewear.
  • Clean the surface you intend to paint with a clean cloth to remove dust and debris.
  • If necessary, sand the surface lightly to ensure better paint adhesion.
  • Apply a primer if the surface is bare metal or heavily rusted, and allow it to dry completely.

Application

  • Begin spraying with smooth, even strokes, moving back and forth across the surface.
  • Apply several thin coats rather than one thick coat for a smoother finish.

Finishing

  • Once the final coat is applied, allow the paint to dry completely as per the instructions on the can.
  • Remove any masking tape or coverings used to protect surrounding areas.
  • Clean the spray nozzle by turning the can upside down and spraying until only clear gas comes out.
  • Store the can in a cool, dry place for future use.
