Materials Needed

• Auto Express Clear Lacquer Spray Paint 400ML
• Masking tape or newspaper
• Sandpaper (fine grit)
• Cloth or tack rag
• Protective gloves
• Protective eyewear
• Respirator mask

Preparation

1. Work in a well-ventilated area to ensure safety.
2. Wear protective gloves, eyewear, and a respirator mask.
3. Clean the surface you want to spray. Remove any dirt, grease, or rust using a suitable cleaner.
4. Lightly sand the surface with fine-grit sandpaper to ensure the lacquer adheres properly.
5. Wipe the surface with a cloth or tack rag to remove dust and debris.
6. Mask off any areas you do not want to be painted using masking tape or newspaper.

Application

1. Shake the can vigorously for about 2-3 minutes to ensure the contents are well mixed.
2. Hold the can approximately 25-30 cm (10-12 inches) away from the surface.
3. Spray in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke for even coverage.
4. Apply several light coats rather than one heavy coat to avoid runs and drips.
5. Allow each coat to dry as per the manufacturer’s instructions before applying the next coat.

Finishing

1. After the final coat, allow the lacquer to cure completely according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
2. Once dry, inspect the surface for any imperfections. If needed, lightly sand and reapply a light coat of lacquer.
3. Carefully remove any masking tape or newspaper.
4. Clean up your work area and dispose of any waste materials properly.
