How to Use AMTECH Heavy Duty Battery Clamps

Introduction

AMTECH Heavy Duty Battery Clamps are designed for secure and efficient connection to battery terminals. Follow these instructions to safely use the clamps.

Materials Needed

  • AMTECH Heavy Duty Battery Clamps (2/PK)
  • A compatible battery
  • Safety gloves
  • Safety goggles

Preparation

  1. Ensure you are in a well-ventilated area.
  2. Wear safety gloves and goggles for protection.
  3. Inspect the battery clamps to ensure they are free from damage or corrosion.

Connecting the Clamps

  1. Identify the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals on the battery.
  2. Take the red clamp and attach it to the positive (+) terminal of the battery.
  3. Ensure the connection is secure and the clamp is gripping the terminal tightly.
  4. Take the black clamp and attach it to the negative (-) terminal of the battery.
  5. Make sure the black clamp is also securely and tightly connected.

Using the Clamps

  • Once connected, proceed with the intended use, such as jump-starting a vehicle or connecting to a power supply.
  • Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for the device you are connecting to the battery.

Disconnecting the Clamps

  1. Once you have finished, remove the black clamp from the negative (-) terminal first.
