Materials Needed

• AM-TECH 12G Tube Lead Free Solder Wire Flux Cover
• Soldering Iron
• Soldering Iron Stand
• Wet Sponge or Brass Wool
• A Clean Work Surface
• Protective Gear (Safety Glasses and Gloves)

Preparation

• Ensure you are in a well-ventilated area to avoid inhaling fumes.
• Wear protective gear to safeguard against burns or eye injuries.
• Set up your soldering iron on the stand and plug it in to heat up.
• Prepare the items you need to solder by cleaning them and arranging them on your work surface.

Soldering Process

• Wait for the soldering iron to reach the appropriate temperature. You can usually adjust this on the soldering station if available.
• Clean the tip of the soldering iron using a wet sponge or brass wool to ensure good heat transfer.
• Touch the tip of the soldering iron to the joint you want to solder to heat it up.
• Introduce the AM-TECH Lead Free Solder Wire to the heated joint, allowing it to melt and flow over the joint.
• Remove the solder wire first, then the soldering iron, to ensure a good joint.
• Inspect the solder joint for a smooth, shiny finish. If necessary, reheat and apply more solder.
