Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Your Workspace

  • Ensure your workspace is clean and flat to avoid wrinkles and bubbles during application.
  • Gather all necessary materials listed above.

Step 2: Measure and Cut the Covering

  • Place the book you wish to cover on a flat surface.
  • Unroll the self-adhesive covering and place it beneath the book.
  • Use a ruler to measure the covering, ensuring there is at least a 1-inch margin around all edges of the book for wrapping.
  • Mark your measurements with a pencil.
  • Cut along the marked lines using scissors.

Step 3: Apply the Covering

  • Remove the backing paper from the adhesive side of the covering carefully.
  • Align the book with the center of the adhesive side.
  • Gently press the book down onto the covering, starting from the spine and moving outward.
  • Use a soft cloth or squeegee to smooth out any air bubbles, working from the center towards the edges.

Step 4: Wrap the Edges

  • Fold the excess covering over the edges of the book, pressing firmly to secure it in place.
  • Trim any excess covering neatly with scissors, if necessary.

Tips for Best Results

  • Work slowly and carefully to avoid wrinkles and air bubbles.
  • If bubbles appear, gently lift the covering and reapply, smoothing out with a cloth or squeegee.
  • Store unused covering in a cool, dry place to maintain adhesive quality.
