How to Use the Falcon Enamel Pudding Basin 18cm

Unpacking

  • Carefully remove the pudding basin from its packaging.
  • Inspect the basin for any visible defects or damage before use.
  • Wash the basin with warm soapy water and dry it thoroughly.

Preparation

  • Choose a suitable pudding recipe for your 18cm basin.
  • Grease the inside of the basin with butter or oil to prevent sticking.
  • Prepare your pudding mixture according to the recipe instructions.

Cooking

  • Pour the prepared mixture into the greased basin.
  • Cover the basin with a lid or a piece of parchment paper and foil secured with string.
  • Place the basin in a pot with enough water to reach halfway up the sides of the basin.
  • Bring the water to a simmer and cook as per the recipe instructions.
  • Check the water level regularly and top up with boiling water if necessary.

Serving

  • Once cooked, carefully remove the basin from the pot using oven mitts.
  • Allow to cool slightly before removing the cover.
  • Run a knife around the edge of the pudding to loosen it.
  • Invert the basin onto a serving plate to release the pudding.
  • Serve warm with your choice of accompaniments.

  • Allow the basin to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Wash with warm soapy water and a soft sponge to maintain the enamel surface.
