How to Use 151 Red Primer Spray Paint 400ml

Preparation

• Ensure you are in a well-ventilated area or outdoor space.
• Wear protective gear, such as gloves and a mask, to avoid inhalation and contact with skin.
• Shake the can vigorously for at least 2 minutes to mix the paint thoroughly.
• Test spray on a piece of scrap material to ensure the nozzle works correctly and to get a feel for the spray pattern.

Surface Preparation

• Clean the surface to be painted. Remove dust, grease, and rust with sandpaper or a wire brush.
• If needed, use a cleaner or degreaser and allow the surface to dry completely.
• Mask off areas that you do not want to paint with painter’s tape and cover surroundings with newspaper or a drop cloth.

Application

• Hold the can 20-30 cm (8-12 inches) away from the surface.
• Press the nozzle and apply the paint in a sweeping motion. Keep the can moving to avoid drips and runs.
• Apply multiple thin coats rather than one thick coat for even coverage. Allow each coat to dry for about 10-15 minutes before applying the next.

Drying and Curing

• Once the final coat is applied, allow the paint to dry for at least 24 hours.
• Do not handle or use the painted item until the paint is fully cured.

Clean-Up

• Turn the can upside down and spray until only clear gas comes out. This helps prevent the nozzle from clogging.
• Dispose of used cans according to local regulations.
• Wash hands and clean any spills immediately with a suitable cleaner.
