Materials Needed

- Apply masking tape to both sides of the area where you want to apply the sealant to ensure a neat finish.
Application
- If required, cut the tip of the sealant tube at a 45-degree angle to the desired bead size using a utility knife or scissors.
- Insert the tube into a caulking gun if applicable.
- Holding the gun at a 45-degree angle, gently squeeze the trigger to apply the sealant in a steady, continuous motion along the seam or gap.
- Ensure the sealant fills the gap completely, avoiding air bubbles.
- Use a wet finger or a sealant smoothing tool to smooth the bead of sealant, pressing it into the joint.
- Remove the masking tape immediately after applying and smoothing the sealant.
Curing
- Allow the sealant to cure as per the manufacturer’s instructions, typically 24 hours, to achieve a waterproof seal.
- Avoid disturbing or using the sealed area until fully cured.
Cleanup
- Clean any excess sealant immediately with a cloth dampened with soapy water.
