Preparation

  1. Ensure you are in a well-ventilated area to avoid inhaling fumes.
  2. Wear protective gloves and a mask or respirator for safety.
  3. Lay down a drop cloth or newspapers to protect the surrounding area from overspray.
  4. Clean the plastic surface thoroughly with a clean cloth to remove dirt and grease.
  5. If necessary, lightly sand the surface to create a better bond for the paint.
  6. Use painter’s tape to mask off any areas you do not wish to paint.

Application

  1. Shake the can of 151 Spray to Plastic Paint Green Gloss thoroughly for at least one minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle.
  2. Hold the can 20-30 cm (8-12 inches) from the surface.
  3. Spray in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke.
  4. Apply several thin coats rather than one thick coat to avoid drips and runs.
  5. Allow each coat to dry to the touch before applying the next coat.

Drying and Curing
