How to Use the Website
How to Use CompareTheSuppliers.co.uk
Shopping with us is simple. Here’s how it works from start to finish.
Start on the homepage and enter your B31 postcode.
- This checks that you’re in our delivery area.
- Once confirmed, you’ll see all the local partner stores currently available to you.
If we’re not yet accepting orders, you can still join the B31 shopper waitlist so we can let you know as soon as we’re back.
You’ll see a list of local B31 retailers (for example, supermarkets, specialists and independents).
- Click on a store to view its products.
- Use the Home or All Products links in the menu to explore everything in one place.
- Use any filters or sorting options (e.g. Featured) to find what you need faster.
You can add items from multiple stores into the same basket.
When you find something you want:
- Select the quantity you need (if available)
- Click Add to basket
Your basket total will update in the header so you can see how much you’ve spent.
Remember: there is usually a £15 minimum basket to place an order.
When you’re ready:
- Click on the Basket icon or the basket total at the top of the page.
- Review all the items from each store.
- Adjust quantities or remove items if needed.
Once you’re happy with your basket, click Checkout to move to the next step.
You’ll be asked to log in or register:
- New customers: create a quick account with your name, email, password and B31 address
- Existing customers: log in with your email and password
Having an account lets you track your orders and saves your details for next time.
On the checkout page:
- Select an available delivery day and time slot (currently Tue, Thu or Fri, subject to availability)
- Make sure someone will be in at that time, or
- Add clear safe-place instructions if you’d like us to leave your order somewhere secure.
Use the delivery notes box to tell us anything helpful, for example:
- Gate codes or buzzer details
- Which door to use
- Where to leave your order if you’re not in
These notes go to our riders so we can deliver smoothly and safely.
At checkout, you can:
- Pay securely using the payment methods shown.
- Where available, select Buy Now, Pay Later* (BNPL) with a trusted payment partner to spread the cost.
If you choose BNPL, you’ll briefly complete the provider’s checks and accept their terms before returning to the site.
Once payment is confirmed, you’ll see an on‑screen order confirmation and also receive an email.
* Buy Now, Pay Later is provided by a third‑party BNPL provider and is subject to their terms and eligibility checks.
Behind the scenes:
- Local retailers pick and pack your items.
- Our riders load everything onto zero‑emission eCargo bikes.
- We bring your order to your B31 door in your chosen time slot.
If there are any issues with your order (for example, an item is unavailable), we’ll follow the options you selected at checkout and keep you informed.
Use the Account section in the menu to:
- View past and current orders.
- Update your details and addresses.
- Change your password
If you ever need help using the website, you can reach us via the Contact or Help details shown on the site.
For Retailers
If you’re a local B31 retailer and want to join the platform:
- Click Become a Retailer or Become a partner store.
- Complete the short application form.
- We’ll review your details and get in touch to discuss next steps.
We then create your online page, you pick and pack orders, and we handle all zero‑emission deliveries.
