How to Use 151 Frame Sealant White
Materials Needed:
- 151 Frame Sealant White
- Standard cartridge gun
- Utility knife or scissors
- Clean cloth
- Masking tape (optional)
Preparation:
- Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and old sealant.
- Use masking tape to protect areas adjacent to where you will be applying the sealant, if necessary.
Loading the Cartridge:
- Cut the tip of the cartridge nozzle at an angle to your desired bead size using a utility knife or scissors.
- Insert the cartridge into a standard cartridge gun.
Application:
- Hold the gun at a 45-degree angle to the surface.
- Gently squeeze the gun trigger to apply a steady bead of sealant along the frame’s joint.
- Ensure a continuous and even application without gaps.
Smoothing and Finishing:
- Use a clean cloth or a sealant smoothing tool to smooth out the sealant bead.
- Remove any excess sealant immediately with a cloth before it dries.
- If masking tape was used, remove it carefully while the sealant is still wet.
Drying and Painting:
- Allow the sealant to dry completely, as per the product instructions.
- Once dry, the sealant can be over-painted if desired.
Cleanup:
- Clean the cartridge gun and any tools used with a suitable cleaner.
- Store any remaining sealant in a cool, dry place for future use.
