How to Use Auto Extreme Primer Grey Spray Paint 400ml

Preparation

• Ensure the surface you intend to paint is clean, dry, and free from rust or old paint.
• Lightly sand the area to create a smooth surface for the primer to adhere to.
• Wipe the area with a clean cloth to remove any dust or debris.
• Cover any areas you do not wish to paint with masking tape or protective sheets.

Application

• Shake the spray paint can vigorously for at least one minute after you hear the mixing ball inside start to rattle.
• Test spray on a piece of scrap material or cardboard to ensure the nozzle is functioning properly.
• Hold the can approximately 25-30 cm (10-12 inches) away from the surface.
• Spray in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each pass to ensure even coverage.
• Apply multiple thin coats rather than one thick coat, allowing 10-15 minutes between each coat for drying.

Drying and Finishing

• Allow the primer to dry completely as per the instructions on the can, usually around 24 hours for full curing.
• If needed, lightly sand the primed surface with fine-grit sandpaper to smooth out any imperfections.
• Once the primer is fully cured, apply your chosen topcoat or paint finish.
• Clean the spray nozzle by inverting the can and spraying for a few seconds to prevent clogging.
